Details of the role and how it fits into the team
Risk Management Solutions (“RMS”) Corporate foreign exchange (“FX”) and rates Sales is a regional team with salespeople located in London and various European locations, including Madrid.
The team serves a range of client types, including large-cap corporate clients, private equity, and infrastructure funds.
Within the FX & Base & Precious Metals product suite, the team caters to clients based on their specific needs (e.g., vanilla derivatives, structured products, general hedging, option strategies, etc.) through different delivery channels (e-commerce and voice sales). To support growth in the Spanish, Portuguese (and Greek) FX markets, the team seeks an additional senior coverage resource; the role will focus on FX and metals, working closely with the rates sales team. The candidate will be part of the private side of the business within the Corporate Bank.
Your key responsibilities
* Actively acquire new large-cap clients for the Iberia FX desk and the wider Deutsche Bank franchise.
* Maintain existing corporate client relationships and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
* Establish strategic FX dialogue with clients.
* Collaborate internally to create and maintain a deal pipeline, working with trading, structuring, corporate and investment bankers, research, and other partners to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Your skills and experiences
* Senior FX salesperson with a proven track record of transacting with Spanish corporate clients and developing strong client relationships.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.
* Extensive knowledge of FX and the broader macroeconomic environment.
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a pan-European team and leverage contacts across Deutsche Bank's global network.
* Strong relationship management skills.
* Quick and efficient response to various queries and events.
