Job Summary
Ericsson Consulting aims to deliver engagements that generate value for our customers and support Ericsson’s growth. We are looking for a highly experienced Techno‑Operational Consulting Leader to lead the NW & BOS Transformation Consulting practice and to be part of the Global Consulting Leadership Team that oversees business and offerings across Ericsson.
This role requires extensive experience with Communication Service Providers (CSPs) in areas such as OSS, Core/Cloud, RAN, Telco Orchestration, SMO, and BSS Transformation. The leader will guide activities in Autonomous Networks Strategy, O/BSS transformation, 5G Core/SA Value Argumentation, Cloud/HCP Operating Model, etc., serving as an end‑to‑end Telecom Technology Consulting Hub.
Responsibilities
* Drive global P&L and define objectives of NW & BOS Transformation Consulting domain
* Identify, develop and manage portfolio of leading NW & BOS Transformation Consulting offerings
* Identify Consulting opportunities by collaborating with tech professionals – Sales and Solution Architects
* Nurture and convert opportunities while contributing actively to consulting proposals
* Guide/lead delivery of consulting projects/programs across the globe
* Engage as thought leader at CxO level
* Lead NW & BOS Transformation consulting team comprising senior members
* Manage stakeholders in Consulting communities across geographies
* Actively contribute beyond your domain to achieve overall business objectives
Domain Expertise Area Details
* AN, Orchestration & Automation transformation
o Good understanding of the Autonomous networks e2e methodology, and orchestration & automation transformation approaches taken by industry leaders and early adopters, especially from an operations and systems perspective.
o Thorough appreciation of the challenges and impacts of Orchestration & Automation transformation, and practical experience of transformation delivery programs (including organizational impacts, process impacts, systems integration and operational transformation).
* 5G Core and 5G Network
o Good understanding of 5G Core – specifically related to technology evolution toward 5G, Core deployment options (e.G., SA).
o Good understanding of end‑to‑end technology evolution beyond Core – especially RAN and Transport – to advise clients on 5G technology evolution.
o Strong understanding of the business implications of 5G Core and related technology options, enabling 5G use‑case monetization.
* Telco Cloud transformation – Both Virtualization and Cloud Native
o Good knowledge of cloud transformation challenges, impacts and approaches from the perspective of leading industry leaders and early adopters.
o Practical experience of Telco Cloud Transformation programmes and cloud operating models.
o Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps and related operational processes/impacts.
o Expertise on operational implications of moving 5G Core and other network elements to Virtualized or Cloud Native – both in hybrid and public environments.
* Operational transformation, and Operating models to support 5G Evolution
o Strong competence in defining operational transformation approaches for evolution to 5G and various 5G opportunities.
o Strong capability to define various aspects of operating model for 5G Evolution – processes, metrics/KPIs, high‑level OSS systems knowledge.
* Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps Windows of Work.
* OSS Systems / Support strategies
o Good understanding of operational trends and system approaches (e.G., orchestration solutions, automation techniques, closed‑loop automation, microservices, analytics, policies) and relevant open‑source communities.
o Awareness of competitor vendor landscape and relative strengths vs. Ericsson portfolio.
* Strong knowledge and certifications of TOGAF, ITIL and standard architectures such as TMF TAM/SID, ODA.
* Supporting Capability – Telco Cloud Technology
o Good understanding of Telco Cloud technology trends (containers, microservices, MEC) and relevant open‑source communities.
o Good understanding of public cloud enterprise solutions and their pros/cons for CSPs.
o Good understanding of Telco Cloud reference architectures.
Qualifications
* 15+ years of professional experience, including proven ability to sell and deliver consulting projects.
* Proven capability to sell and deliver Core / Technology / Operational Consulting projects with a business mindset.
* Experience leading Consulting business, practice and teams, with P&L accountability.
* Sound technical knowledge across Core, Cloud, RAN, Telco Orchestration, and B/OSS Transformation domains.
* Sound delivery skills
o Ability to create plans to align technical strategies with business ambition.
o Highly experienced in formulating strategies and defining transformation journeys.
o Proven ability to excel in fact‑based storytelling with strong influencing skills.
* Strong people and team leadership skills
o Strong ability to coach and enable individual development.
o Proven track record of team growth and operational management of the team.
* Sound behavioral skills
o Excellent oral and written communication skills and high orientation towards innovation and learning.
o Experience working in international and cross‑cultural environments, selling and delivering complex engagements in cross‑functional teams.
o Results‑oriented and commercial thinking.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, and preferably a Master’s in Business.

Primary country and city: India (IN) – Gurgaon. Opportunities globally;
expected travel is 50% based on business needs.
