**Scope of the position**:
- Quote - Supporting XEP and PM for strategic RFQs addressed by S, X, or XE.
- RFI lead / Coordination of Quote Kick off.
- Hand over to PM / Support Quote success.
- Work with PMO on Quote Process.
- Bench Marking.
- Budget planning.
- Lead the organization of XEP and XED to support input standard/quality to be delivered on time.
- Support Quarterly Forecast planning for the current year.
- Product Strategy
- Supporting Product managers in the creation of Product Strategy based on OEM roadmaps, competitors’ landscape and MAHLE unique selling points.
- Manages the interface between Sales organization and BU4-XE.
**Your Role & Responsabilities**:
**1. Common tasks of a Head of**:
- Responsible to create a method and tool landscape for the product management development.
- Budget Planning lead.
- Lead/support quote.
**2. Budget Planning**
- Sync with Controlling.
- Lead Budget Planning, set milestones/reviews for XEP and XED based on Controlling Planning.
- Report on current status.
- Develop quarterly forecast planning.
**3. Strategic planning**
- Support Product Managers in the segment's product strategy together with the company's management, sales and Development Engineering Strategic Planning Process. Areas to support are:
- XE product portfolio strategic planning (PPSP).
- Strategic product pricing based on the evaluated scenario.
- Estimation of resource needs for evaluated scenario.
- Creation of Technology Roadmap and Product Roadmap in alignment with Product Segment and Definition of USPs per product group.
- Definition of conditions, markets and products of Markets research together with SPM.
- Alignment with XE Pre-Development department on Technology and Product Roadmaps.
- Support of annual sales plan review.
- Assurance of customer strategy alignment with BU4 targets.
- Support BU4 Management in the definition of production locations and expansion.
- Support BU4 Strategic planning Management in M&A; analysis.
**4. Benchmarking**
- Identification of MAHLE Electronics strategic products of families
- Lead and propose a structured comparison between similar products and processes from previously identified competitors.
- Design and implantation of benchmarking database.
- Scout market to find external partners to support benchmarking activities.
**5. RFQ support to strategic products directly offered to customer by XE.**
- Coordinate (if not handed over to PM) the RfQ-process until submission of quotation together with sales and ensure that margins are optimized for BU4.
- Together with sales and Product Managers, define annual acquisition target per product and region and track this target monthly during the year.
- Monthly reporting on to XE management on Win/Loss/Acquisition status.
**Your Skills & Strengths**
- Business, Electrical, electronic, or mechatronic Engineer.
- MBA is a plus
- English, Spanish. German is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strategic focus with the ability to see the overall vision but also to drill down into the operational detail, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Knowledge of product industrialization.
- Knowledge of Quality Gates and Project Development Process.
- Minimum of ten years of experience working in electronic product development.
- Minimum 5-year experience working in a Product or Project manager position.
- At least 5 years in Automotive industry (Tier 1 or OEM) in electronics.
- At least five years of experience with direct customer contact.
- Experience in design to cost and design for manufacturing.
- Experience in customer audits
- Experience in different areas of Automotive industry like Marketing, purchasing and Sales is a plus.
