The Manager of Hotel Operations is responsible for maintaining and improving product execution for the Oasis Class and Icon Class vessels, ensuring all concepts and standards are followed and monitored. This role oversees all Oasis Class neighborhoods, Open Deck areas, Boarding and Departure in turnaround ports, and seamless on/off ship operations at various ports of call. The Manager shares overall responsibility for executing the OPP Plan across the Hotel shipboard organization.
The position serves as a stepping stone to the Associate Hotel Director role and eventually the Hotel Director position. Successful Managers demonstrate exceptional leadership, strong relationship-building skills, and results-oriented management in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Qualifications:
* Shipboard employment required.
* At least 3 years of operational experience above Front of House Divisional head position, with proven leadership ability.
* Knowledge of additional languages such as Spanish, French, Italian, or German is preferred.
* Understanding of business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution, including strategic planning, resource allocation, manpower modeling, leadership techniques, and production methods.
* Knowledge of customer service principles, needs assessment, quality standards, delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
1. Update the Hotel Director daily on cruise flow, manage gangways during port arrivals/departures, and inform about ship clearance, guest experience, and zero counts.
2. Review all annual Hotel compliance and divisional operational audits, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and report findings.
3. Promote the Royal Way program onboard to foster a culture of engagement among Hotel and Marine teams.
4. Recruit, motivate, and develop staff, encouraging growth and talent retention.
5. Assist in implementing business and operating budgets to meet KPIs and metrics, review financial reports, analyze goals versus actual results, and recommend actions.
6. Ensure guest and crew safety through emergency procedures, oversee the Evacuation Control Center, and monitor crew drills and training.
