Responsibilities:
To lead and execute internal audits of a complex nature scheduled in the annual audit plan; ascertaining the extent of compliance with established policies, procedures and statutory requirements, and the extent to which Corporate assets are accounted for and safeguarded from losses of all kinds
To execute VW Group joint and global audits within the framework of the Global Auditor Concept and the exchange of audit capacities, gaining synergies, increasing benchmark and sharing knowledge
To coordinate all the external audit activities - by regulatory or VW corporate bodies - and to assist with the follow-up and implementation of all external audit recommendations
To represent Internal Audit Spain in conjunction with major business initiatives and proactively advices management on the design and implementation of effective processes and controls while maintaining auditor independence
Project monitoring of all strategic projects of the company
To assist the Head of Internal Audit:
to develop and enhance the audit universe at VW FS Spain performing a risk analysis to create the audit plan
to submit periodical and ad-hoc reporting to HQ, Management and Supervisory Board (ad-hoc reporting, quarterly reporting, Follow-Up Reporting, annual report
to perform special investigations, as assigned by Internal Audit Spain responding to emerging risks and management requests
To take primary responsibility for engagement supervision and preparation of draft reports, and to assume an active role in the discussion and reconciliation of recommendations and agreed remedial actions with the management
To monitor the establishment / reinforcement of suitable internal controls based upon audit findings by appropriate follow-up testing - follow Up on audit findings
Maintaining professional proficiency throughout permanent professional education, attending curses and seminars while staying abreast of leading practices, trends and emerging risks.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a dynamic person with strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, and solid organizational skills.
-Education
: Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree in Audit or professional certifications (CFE, CIA, CFSA) will be a plus.
-Languages
: Advanced level of English (B2–C1, spoken and written).
-Experience:
Minimum of 5 years' experience as an auditor in financial institutions (ideally in a Big Four firm) or in control departments within financial entities.
-Knowledge and skills:
Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to financial institutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Teamwork, proactivity, and initiative.
Analytical skills and accuracy in performing tasks and preparing reports.
