The position: Project Buyer (Projet Buyer) within Projects department. Full-time, permanent contract.
Responsibilities As member of the project team, attend Project Meetings (WOOOM, ...) and lead and/or support all project activities where purchasing is involved (NPA, PRKF, Sourcing Plan, PSC, PMC, IAR, TOGO, FDPR, ISVA, SOP) until project closure. Support the Project Manager in preparing the Sourcing Plan to define mutual PTM commitments and conditions to proceed with Pre-SoCo (RFQ), SoCo (Award) and SOP at required QCD conditions.
Confirm project team commitments in L2 Planning in PuMa.
Select supplier bid-list based on Compliant Segment Panel and liaise with Project and Segment organisations to identify Bundle opportunities.
Identify Critical Parts per CLEAN definitions and review contingency plan with related PTM (anticipated design reviews, S-VRF, possible specification changes). Request PM arbitration when required.
Coordinate S-VRF definition and upload in PuMa by each PTM and plan Supplier Design reviews.
Obtain Supplier acceptance of Valeo Requirements and enhance competition at equivalent scope.
Promote the best use of PuMa features and encourage uptake among the project team.
Involve Segment Leader (or Group Segment Director) at appropriate times to share project constraints and propose sourcing strategy compliant with Group Segment Strategy.
Assess pre-selected suppliers’ risk impacts on Development or Production capacity, Technical or Quality capability, and financial sustainability. Propose mitigation plans with the Project team & Commodity organisation and ensure proper documentation in PuMa Pre-SoCo & SoCo sections and/or one‑page documents.
Propose Lotting and RFP tactics and anticipate use of Auctions with the Project Team.
Perform RFQ processes via PuMa and Auction (Live or Online).
Leverage the commodity organisation to reach pre-sourcing and sourcing decisions to meet project targets.
Anticipate and escalate to appropriate organisational levels issues to ensure risk mitigation plans, SoCo decisions, QCD project targets, and Segment strategies are enforced.
Ensure timely sign-off with stakeholders to achieve successful auction events.
Ensure permanent update of Sourcing process milestones (Pre-SoCo, SoCo, etc.) to guarantee reliability of the SoCo forecast and enable anticipation of bundling opportunities and business link item selection.
Liaise with Productivity Buyers to identify possible P/N for Business Link application prior to auction/SoCo.
Pilot and forecast the project purchasing index and lead the productivity action plan (VP & PTBV) to reach CAA targets.
