AI Software Engineer – AIXPERT Project (RE2)Position at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) within the Computer Science Department. OverviewLead design and development of AI platform components for the European research project AIXPERT, focusing on explainability, robustness and trustworthiness of agentic AI systems. Key DutiesDesign, implement and maintain platform core components: agent systems, explainability features, RAG‑based memory, APIs. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand evolving needs and plan BSC tasks. Support testing across use cases and participate in research and dissemination activities. RequirementsBachelor or Master degree in Artificial Intelligence or Computer Science. Strong programming skills in Python and experience in software engineering. Background in machine learning algorithms, models and workflows. Experience in continuous integration, deployment and delivery. Knowledge of LLMs, prompt design, agent and multi‑agent systems, knowledge graphs and explainable AI methods. Fluency in English (written and spoken). Front‑end experience (React, TypeScript or similar) is a plus. ConditionsFull‑time contract (37.5h/week), open‑ended duration linked to project budget.
