About the role
We are looking for a Senior Storage & Backup Administrator to join an international infrastructure operations team supporting enterprise-level environments.
This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure specialist with strong experience in storage, SAN, and data protection platforms, used to working in production-critical environments.
Key responsibilities
* Administer and support enterprise storage and backup infrastructures
* Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and data protection issues
* Manage backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies
* Monitor and optimize storage and backup services
* Coordinate incident resolution and hardware replacement
* Create and maintain technical documentation
* Automate operational tasks (scripting/tools)
* Participate in infrastructure projects (mid/large scale)
* Provide on-call support (rotation-based)
Required experience
* +7 years in enterprise storage & backup administration
* Strong experience with:
* NetApp ONTAP (FAS, file/object services)
* Dell storage platforms (e.G., PowerStore)
* CEPH (Software Defined Storage)
* Hands-on experience with SAN environments (Fiber Channel, iSCSI)
* Administration of Cisco MDS fabrics
* Solid understanding of:
* Storage provisioning & performance tuning
* Replication and data protection strategies
* Host integration and OS-level tuning
Backup & Data Protection
* Proven experience with:
* Dell EMC Avamar
* Dell EMC Data Domain
* Veeam Backup & Replication
* Backup lifecycle management (policies, retention, recovery)
* Familiarity with disk and tape-based architectures
Networking & Systems
* Understanding of:
* TCP/IP fundamentals
* Ethernet switching & routing basics
* Link aggregation (LACP)
* Experience in Linux and/or Windows Server environments

* Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible)
* Experience with Microsoft 365 backup tools (AvePoint, Spanning)
* Virtualization (VMware)
* Certifications (NetApp, Dell EMC, Cisco, ITIL)
