We're M.L.O Growth, a boutique eCommerce growth agency working with ambitious DTC brands in beauty, wellness, supplements, and home. We scale brands to 6-7 figures/month through Paid Media (Meta, Google, TikTok), Creative Strategy, and Retention.
We're hiring a Junior/Mid Creative Strategist to join our creative team on an ongoing freelance basis. This is a role where you'll learn and grow — we have a proven creative strategy framework, and we're looking for someone hungry to master it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Develop ad concepts, angles, and hooks for Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram) based on our creative strategy framework
* - Write creative briefs that guide our designers and video editors — clear direction on messaging, visual style, audience persona, and desired action
* - Analyze competitor ads and winning creatives to extract insights and identify trends in the DTC space
* - Research buyer personas, pain points, and desire triggers for each brand you work on
* - Support the creative testing process — propose A/B variations, new angles, and iteration ideas based on ad performance data (CTR, hook rate, CPA, ROAS)
* - Collaborate closely with Media Buyers, Creative Designers, and Video Editors inside our Notion-based workflow
* - Build and maintain ad creative libraries and swipe files organized by brand, angle, and funnel stage
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* 1-3 years of experience in creative strategy, copywriting for ads, or a related role in DTC/eCommerce or a performance marketing agency
* - You understand that creative is the #1 lever in paid media — you're passionate about what makes people stop scrolling, click, and buy
* - Strong instinct for consumer psychology — you think in terms of pain points, desires, objections, and triggers, not just\ "pretty visuals\"
* - Familiar with Meta Ads and how creatives fit into a paid media strategy (TOF/MOF/BOF, creative fatigue, testing frameworks)
* - Can analyze ad performance and draw actionable conclusions —\ "this hook is fatiguing, let's test a new angle\ " rather than guessing
* - Curious, coachable, and hungry to learn — we'll teach you our framework, but you need to bring the drive
* - Strong written communication in English (Spanish is a big plus)
TOOLS YOU SHOULD KNOW (OR BE WILLING TO LEARN)
Required: Notion, Meta Ads Library, Google Docs/Sheets
Big Plus: Foreplay, AdSpy or similar ad spy tools, Figma (basic), Motion (creative analytics), AI tools for creative ideation
