**Job Purpose**:
Experienced Estimator preferrably with a strong background in high-value fit-out and/or data centre projects. Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, and ensuring commercial viability from pre-construction through project award.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for fit-out and/or data centre projects, including labour, materials, and subcontractor packages
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and client requirements to develop competitive tender submissions
- Manage the full tendering process from enquiry through to submission and post-tender clarifications
- Source and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
- Identify project risks and opportunities, incorporating them into pricing strategies
- Collaborate with design, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure cost-effective solutions
- Prepare value engineering options to enhance project competitiveness
- Support handover to project delivery teams, ensuring clear understanding of budgets and scope
- Maintain up-to-date cost databases and benchmark data for future tenders
**Experience & Requirements**
- 3+ years’ experience in estimating within construction, ideally in **fit-out, cleanrooms, or data centres**:
- Strong understanding of M&E; packages (critical for data centre environments)
- Proven experience working on fast-paced, high-specification projects
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Experience with cost planning, tender documentation, and procurement processes
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, and estimating software (e.g., CostX, Cubit, or similar)
- Knowledge of contract forms and commercial terms
