Our client is a multinational German company, specialising in Automation for Industry. With almost 4000 employees worldwide, and a turnover of over 500 MIO Euros, our client sets the standard in their industry for quality manufacturing of high-technology components.
As part of their growth and development, they are setting up a Financial Hub in Barcelona. This Centre of Excellence will provide turnkey services for critical business units across Europe, and we are looking for an:
Accounts Payable Specialist
Working in a hybrid role, this person will have key responsibilities within the Financial organisation, including:
Responsibilities:
1. Execute electronic invoice processing including validation and approval workflows for foreign subsidiaries across EMEA.
2. Record accounts payable invoices and credit notes using SAP/R3.
3. Maintain creditor master data in SAP/R3.
4. Serve as a contact person for accounting allocation questions.
5. Review and post travel expense reports via SAP Concur.
6. Manage GR/IR accounts, monitor quantity and price differences.
7. Responsible for payments via SAP/R3 and manual payments through the banking program CPWeb.
8. Handle supplier correspondence and reminders.
9. Assist with special tasks and projects, particularly focusing on automation and digitalization.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Successfully completed commercial training.
2. Experience: Several years of professional experience (> 4 years) in accounts payable.
3. Software Skills: Proficient in SAP R3 and MS Office.
4. Work Approach: Results-oriented, structured, quality-conscious, responsible, and solution-focused.
5. Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of German commercial code (HGB), travel and income tax law, and particularly VAT law.
6. Soft Skills: Strong process understanding, communication skills, entrepreneurial thinking, customer orientation, teamwork.
7. Languages: Very good proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
