We are a well-established Architectural Company and Property Development Group based in Marbella, with active projects across residential, and construction developments.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to hire an In-House Legal Counsel to work closely with management, technical teams, and external advisors, supporting the business across all legal matters related to real estate transactions and construction projects.
The Role
As In-House Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day legal matters, with a strong focus on real estate law, construction contracts, and transactional support. This is a hands-on, business-oriented role, ideal for a lawyer who wants to move away from pure law firm work and be directly involved in operations and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating: Purchase & sale agreements, Private contracts and deeds and Construction and development contracts
* Legal coordination with notaries, registries, banks, and external law firms
* Legal support throughout the full property lifecycle (acquisition → development → sale)
* Risk analysis and legal due diligence on properties and developments
* Ongoing legal advice to management and internal teams
* Monitoring compliance with applicable Spanish real estate and construction regulations
* Supporting corporate and contractual matters related to group companies
Requirements
* Qualified lawyer in Spain (Colegio de Abogados)
* Experience in: Real estate law Construction / development projects
* In-house role or law firm with strong real estate practice
* Fluent Spanish and English (written and spoken)
* Strong drafting and negotiation skills
* Practical, business-minded approach
* Based in (or willing to relocate to) Marbella / Costa del Sol
Desirable (Nice to Have)
* Previous in-house experience in a real estate or development company
* Experience working with international clients or investors
* Familiarity with Andalusian urban planning environment
