We are looking for a Pedagogist & SENCO able to deliver speech and language therapy.The Pedagogist & SENCO is a key member of the staff, reporting directly to the Head of Pastoral & SEND and, at times, working closely with the Heads of Departments, as well as other members of the Senior Management Team.Based in the North of sunny Madrid (Spain), here at Limitless Minds International (L.M.I) College, we are on the hunt for charismatic and creative individuals with a strong passion for teaching that has an interest in taking education to another level.L.M.I College is a small startup school (ages 13 to 18) with the mission of empowering students to recognise and optimise their potential. Designed around how each child learns best, an Individualized Holistic Education Plan (IHEP) integrates cognitive, academic, social, and behavioural strategies into a comprehensive program designed to educate the whole child.The tasks for this role are:- To supervise, check, improve and interact with the alumni in relation to their study techniques, time management and other educational techniques.- To monitor, evaluate and develop the students' SEN requirements.- To monitor, evaluate, support and develop the teaching of all staff regarding SEN adaptations.- To organise, evaluate and monitor with the Head of Learning Support the pedagogical resources of the school as well as lead the department heads (especially SEN related, invigilators, laptops).- Share good practices with colleagues, leading by example and promoting high standards in the delivery of the practices.- Be proactive and interested in keeping the school up-to-date over the latest educational issues, attending courses and conferences as appropriate.- Be fully involved with the life of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.- Encourage high emotional standards and act as a role model to colleagues, in and out of the classroom.- Develop the classroom practice of teachers at the school to ensure the highest possible SEN standards.- Implement initiatives and practices which enhance the learning experiences provided to the children; - To collaborate in the development of an IEP (Individualised Educational Plan for every SEN student).- Ensure that the school’s policies are adhered to in respect of SEN and access arrangements.- Upload all relevant information to Google Drive.- Provide relevant data to staff for discussion regarding students’ progress after examinations or for future class selection.- Monitor, with the Principal and Vice Principal, the professional development courses attended by staff; be responsible for the regular review of whole school curriculum policies.- Ensure that areas of the website relating to SEN are regularly updated; add opinion and thoughtto whole school development issues.- To share supervision of the Lower Ground Floor.- To invigilate examinations as and when required.- To cover the Reception/ Office for staff when required- Bilingual or high-level English level- Must have a Master's Degree- At least 2 years experience as a Pedagogist & SENCO in a British/International School- Eligible to work in Europe (preferred)21 000null
