Role Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Job Automation Engineer to integrate our teams into an international client project in the financial services sector.
This is a hybrid role based in Madrid (2 days per week in the office), focused on the operation and maintenance of enterprise-grade job automation platforms in a high-availability, agile environment.
What you will do:
Operate and maintain Job Automation platforms such as Control-M and Automic Automation (UC4) at system and application level.
Ensure platform stability while collaborating with application teams responsible for job configuration.
Set up and configure environments using Ansible to ensure automation, consistency and scalability.
Perform regular patching, upgrades and health checks in high-availability infrastructures.
Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Participate in an on-call rotation (weekly).
Collaborate closely with internal customers and stakeholders to guarantee platform reliability.
Work within an international agile team, contributing to daily meetings, Kanban ticket updates and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you are like:
Academic background with university studies in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or similar (mandatory).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in similar roles as a System Engineer / Job Automation Engineer.
Hands-on experience with Automic Automation (UC4) and/or Control-M .
Strong knowledge of Linux environments, shell scripting and Ansible .
Knowledge of Python is required.
Experience with patch management, system upgrades and platform monitoring .
Comfortable working in high-availability and enterprise environments .
Used to working with agile tools and methodologies in international teams.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
