About the job. We are seeking a temporary Storekeeper to support NH Madrid Ribera de Manzanares and NH Collection Madrid Palacio de Tepa. The person will be based 2 days at one hotel and 3 days at the other. As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s storeroom, including storage of materials and supplies, inventory control and recording of food and beverage stocks, purchasing, and related tasks according to company policies.
Responsibilities include:
1. Receiving deliveries, properly storing perishable products, and rotating stock by departments.
2. Inspecting deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, consistency, quantity, and quality across all batches.
3. Rejecting damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
4. Handling stock-related tasks such as returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies.
5. Notifying managers or supervisors of low stock levels.
6. Creating purchase orders in SAP to request products from suppliers.
7. Maintaining records of receipts, stock withdrawals, and storage.
8. Verifying invoices for correct prices and quantities, and tracking payment processes.
9. Assisting in preparing reports, summaries, and cost analyses as needed.
10. Keeping the work area clean, organized, and tidy.
11. Following all relevant health and safety regulations and customer service guidelines.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year of experience in similar roles.
* Professional training in management, finance, or hospitality.
* Knowledge of proper accounting and inventory management.
* Valuable: SAP knowledge.
* Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software.
* Fluent in the local language; knowledge of English is a plus.
* Excellent management and organizational skills.
* Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
