Responsibilities
1. Create high-quality user and functional requirements
2. Create use cases
3. Track defects
4. Participate in interviews, site visits, and facilitated sessions with business users
5. Initiate required regulatory and SDLC documentation
6. Collect information regarding and monitor progress of business analysis activities
7. Create as-is and to-be narratives
8. Create and manage gap documentation
9. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a requirements traceability matrix
10. Coordinate defect triage
11. Identify business needs for laboratory informatics solutions
12. Perform research of mild, moderate, or high complexity into business processes, SOPs, system documentation, and work instructions
13. Facilitate one-on-one or small group interviews with business users
14. Identify opportunities for business process improvement, including changes required to successfully adopt new laboratory informatics solutions
15. Provide estimates for workstream activities, including dependencies, to the Project Manager
16. Identify, manage, and resolve risks and issues related to the workstream
17. Provide Project Manager with status updates, activity progress, and schedule updates
18. Maintain excellent client relationships
19. Review and estimate change requests
20. Create and maintain SDLC documentation
21. Contribute to all areas of system implementation including vendor interaction, system compatibility, change control, qualification, deployment, and training
22. Work with project teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FDA, CAPA, CLIA, GxP, HL7, as well as internal policies and processes
23. Analyze requirements to determine priority and business value
24. Create and deliver training materials to end users
25. Collect and monitor progress on project activities from resources
26. Determine and document overall workstream approach
27. Plan and estimate activities within the workstream
28. Provide leadership for all resources within a specific workstream including client, vendor, consultants, and associates
29. Facilitate medium-sized group workshops with business users
30. Perform stakeholder identification and analysis
31. With business stakeholders, implement business process improvements
32. Determine if defects are valid and disposition them
Minimum Qualifications
* 4-year degree in an applicable field
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills
* Expert understanding of a single lab type
* Expert understanding of a single industry
* Expert understanding of a single system type
* 3-5 years of experience in Laboratory Informatics projects
* 3-5 years of experience working in regulated environments
Desired Qualifications
* 3-5 years of consulting experience
* Higher-level Computer Science education that includes computer architecture and secure systems programming
* Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
