The Account Manager of Frozen Fruit and Vegetables will drive strategic account development across various segments and sites, working closely with account counterparts to ensure cohesive and aligned efforts. This role involves owning the account relationship, fostering strong and trusted customer interactions, and serving as the site‑level face of JBT Marel.
Responsibilities
Conduct account planning jointly with customers to identify new opportunities.
Monitor sales and account performance against targets.
Own and develop customer relationships, understanding customer needs and driving communication.
Plan and host in‑person and virtual events to create new leads and opportunities;
proactively manage the opportunity pipeline for the segment and ensure it is continuously filled.
Continuously engage with key/strategic accounts in person and onsite;
proactively identify new business opportunities and support assessment of value potential for customers.
Manage day‑to‑day performance of relevant agent networks, working closely with the Channel Partner Lead.
Manage relationships with low‑potential, infrequent customers to identify new opportunities.
Proactively create new leads or opportunities by following up with potential new customers.
Sales Process
Own the end‑to‑end sales process and drive coordination with all involved stakeholders.
Proactively identify opportunities and conduct feasibility assessment.
Define scope, budget, timeline, etc., jointly with JBT stakeholders.
Prepare and negotiate quotes until contract closure.
Transfer responsibility to the project manager upon contract closure.
Drive strategic account management, including proactive identification of new opportunities and successful translation into projects for JBT.
Ensure direct sales coverage, including regular onsite engagement to identify new sales opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain regular customer interactions through onsite and virtual events.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.G., marketing, business) or related field required.
Nice to Have
5+ years’ experience in capital equipment sales or account management.
Experience in food processing or industrial goods manufacturing.

Work Environment or Physical Demands
The role involves typical office tasks such as prolonged sitting, frequent computer use, and communication. It may require occasional travel, including driving and air travel, to visit clients and attend industry events. Standing for extended periods during presentations and carrying presentation materials may also be necessary. General mobility to move around the office, attend meetings, and visit client sites is required.

Percentage of travel time expected for the position varies by region, including local, regional, or international travel as required. Overnight travel may be necessary.
