Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems & Data Operations Analyst to monitor, maintain, and optimize IT infrastructure and data operations. This role involves proactive system health monitoring, incident response, automation, and collaboration across IT teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems and applications.
Responsibilities
Monitor performance, health, and availability of IT systems, networks, servers, and applications.
Respond to incidents and service requests, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.
Escalate critical incidents to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Perform routine maintenance including software patches, updates, and upgrades.
Manage system configurations to ensure consistency and compliance with standards.
Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline operational tasks.
Analyze performance metrics and plan capacity upgrades to meet business needs.
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
Implement and maintain security measures and controls.
Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve cross-functional issues and support initiatives.
Lead or contribute to projects and ongoing operational objectives.
Mandatory Skills
Proficiency in SAS code, data manipulation, and analysis.
Experience with AWS Athena and Impala for querying data lakes, including syntax and optimization.
Ability to assist users in transforming code from Impala/Hive to AWS Athena using SAS.
Basic Linux skills and file management using SSH.
Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Python coding skills.
Experience registering and managing incidents and service requests.
Knowledge of computer networking and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Understanding of security best practices (access control, vulnerability management, encryption).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Experience with Linux/Unix systems and shells.
Background in open systems architecture and platforms.
Experience implementing changes and maintaining documentation.
Knowledge of service management and performance monitoring.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT systems and data operations.
