At QIAGEN, you make a difference every day.Position DescriptionThis is a global role, based within Europe, with main locations in the UK, Poland, France, and Spain. The position can be home-based.The role involves managing a team of Clinical Study Leads to deliver clinical studies on new infectious disease diagnostic assays and platforms. The role may also involve direct management of studies. Working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders is essential to ensure high-quality studies are completed on time and within budget. Leadership and management activities include team development, resource planning, management of clinical tasks (strategy, budgeting, planning, execution), and process improvement. The role-holder will leverage their expertise in infectious diseases and clinical affairs to define clinical strategy and uphold the scientific integrity of studies.Key responsibilities :
Manage the delivery of infectious disease diagnostic studies within the specific business area, ensuring excellence in planning and budgeting.Lead and manage the Clinical Study Leads team, fostering talent development and establishing a framework for team growth.Continuously evaluate clinical processes to maximize compliance and efficiency, adapting to changing regulations and guidance documentation related to clinical affairs.Develop clinical strategies and apply scientific knowledge to ensure the collection of high-quality clinical data.Position RequirementsUniversity degree or equivalent in a health-related field;
advanced degrees preferred.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the in vitro diagnostic devices industry;
experience in clinical affairs is essential. Experience in other devices or pharmaceuticals is considered.Background in infectious diseases.Proven experience in direct line management and influential leadership, capable of leading without authority to influence decisions and ensure optimal clinical study outcomes within multifunctional teams. Strong rapport-building skills are required.Experience managing multiple high-priority projects across various sites.Excellent knowledge of the in vitro diagnostic industry, including product development processes (ISO13485), CLSI guidance, and ICH GCP is highly desirable.Willingness and ability to travel internationally approximately 15-20% of the time.What we offerAt QIAGEN, our people drive our success.
