IASP, a global nonprofit membership-based association based in Málaga TechPark is looking for a new communications professional to join their team.
Job vacancy: The International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP) is seeking a proactive junior – mid-level professional to join our international team as Communications & Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and tech-savvy communications professional with a proven record of delivering high quality content to internal and external audiences, as well as having familiarity with SEO, AI, CRMs, data management systems and online collaboration tools for efficient use of technology to enhance IASP’s online presence.
The Communications & Marketing Manager will have a multitasked role, working cross-departmentally to capture insights that can strengthen IASP positioning, member visibility and membership growth. Examples include content creation alongside colleagues focusing on knowledge management, collaboration with membership staff and direct involvement in CRM tasks to build on the right data in marketing campaigns, as well as coordination with the IASP events team to feature conference speakers and industry content. With a team of two, the post-holder will also oversee and have the support of a Communications Officer and will report to the CEO and Directors as applicable.
High-level English and writing skills are essential as the role involves copywriting and editing, as well as a critical use of AI when crafting engaging content to be published about our global industry of science parks and innovation districts.
The role requires excellent task and time management skills, strategic content planning abilities, and a proactive approach to engaging with IASP's global membership community. Additional responsibilities occasionally include social media & news coverage of IASP events or meetings, as well as liaising with media and generally ensuring that IASP's communications remain relevant, impactful and aligned with the association's strategic objectives.
