Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer at RoleInsureTech
The RoleInsureTech team is seeking a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to lead and support application systems development and maintenance projects. This role involves providing strategic tools to Charles Taylor's business units and clients, enabling efficient and accurate work. The successful candidate will recommend, develop, and implement technology solutions aligned with our 100% Customer Satisfaction goal.
Key Responsibilities

* Develop high-level technical specifications and detailed program specifications for Data Migration.
* Create and maintain database PL/SQL scripts adhering to standards and best practices.
* Develop unit test cases and perform testing of database scripts.
* Ensure coding standards and programming techniques are followed through technical reviews.
* Support and mentor junior developers.
* Assist in defining user requirements and developing functional specifications.
* Design systems related to functionality, architecture, and databases for complex information systems.
* Provide expert knowledge on systems development, databases, application architecture, and Oracle Database technologies.
* Estimate programming and design tasks, contributing to project planning.
* Monitor technology upgrades, patches, and releases, ensuring optimal installation and use.
* Communicate new features and training opportunities to users for effective application use.
Required Skills
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
* Proven experience in software engineering, especially in enterprise applications using TDD.
* Over 5 years of experience with PL/SQL and SQL in Oracle 11g/12c environments.
* Experience developing packages, triggers, procedures, and materialized views.
* Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts and database design.
* Ability to review and optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance.
* Knowledge of Unix or Windows scripting.
* Experience working in Agile environments.
* Oracle certification is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of the insurance industry.
* Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
