CRAG is an independent research institution focused on leading-edge plant and farm animal sciences, located at the UAB Campus and hosting around 200 members from across the world.
Responsibilities
Support the Plant Viruses group in tasks related to current projects, notably PID***********OB-C33.
Manage pathosystems involving viruses, host plants and insect vectors.
Perform molecular methods for the study of plant viral infections.
Collaborate in experiments with plant pathogenic viruses on selected host plants, including inoculation procedures mediated by insect vectors.
Requirements
Educational background in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field.
Motivation for research activities.
Capacity for teamwork.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Knowledge of informatics.
Previous training or experience in Molecular Biology, Plant Sciences, Phytopathology, or Plant Virology research projects.
Working Conditions
Contract Duration: 9 months.
Hours per week: full time.
