Mission:
As an Expert in Finance Controlling, you will play a key role in the Planning & Control team, ensuring the financial oversight of IT projects developed by ODS for both internal platforms and Santander Group entities. You will be responsible for cost control, budget planning, financial reporting, and ensuring that all services provided by ODS are properly tracked, invoiced, and aligned with business expectations.
This role requires a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders across geographies and business units.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the main point of contact for financial coordination with local entities, ensuring account reconciliation and accurate service invoicing.
2. Design and manage annual and multi-year budgets, including zero-based budgeting for new initiatives.
3. Monitor and control operational costs, analyzing variances and identifying key financial drivers.
4. Collaborate with Program and Project Directors to ensure financial alignment and control across initiatives.
5. Track and report project financials to senior management, providing clear insights and structured updates.
6. Lead monthly closings and prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
7. Oversee the software amortization schedule and ensure accurate financial planning.
8. Monitor budget execution, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
9. Ensure timely resolution of reconciliation issues and maintain a strong control environment.
10. Own the financial governance of specific business verticals and internal ODS projects.
To be successful in the role you must have:
11. + years of experience in IT financial control, preferably in banking or technology services.
12. Strong command of Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI at user level is a plus).
13. High attention to detail and a strong control mindset.
14. Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working independently.
15. Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.
16. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and multicultural environment.
17. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
