Technical Leader LV Expert – LV Design
As Technical Leader LV Expert you will be accountable for the LV design delivered to customers. You will be responsible for developing design proposals, specifications, drawings, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost implications, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. You will identify the project requirements, provide design solutions to meet the customer and site requirements, and ensure the customer’s best interests are protected during the project.
Responsibilities
* During Tender Phase
o Participate in programming of the project with the customer or customer representative to understand and document the owner’s project requirements.
o Understand the local codes and ordinances applicable to the opportunity/project.
o Develop solutions and provide appropriate design documents to support the proposal and allow the estimating team to assemble the cost.
o Identify major LV infrastructure equipment and bid specifications for major/long LV lead equipment.
o Provide space and site layout.
o Check feasibility with vendors.
o Provide estimate to develop final design documents and construction administration as appropriate.
o Solicit, review, and approve sub‑consultant proposals to provide a complete set of design documents for the project.
o Provide the technical narrative for the critical infrastructure to be incorporated into the proposal.
o Perform design improvements primarily to support upgrades and efficient solutions in conjunction with client needs.
* During Design Phase
o Utilize engineering skills and applicable codes and standards to implement systems that are safe, reliable, and economical.
o Take the lead for the basis of design, including redundancy requirements, detailed design, connectivity, footprint, and product selection of the LV equipment.
o Support the system sequence of operation (SOO).
o Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* During Production and Delivery Phase
o Manage support and response to RFIs of LV equipment.
o Assist the production team for clarification, changes, corrections, value engineering, etc. of the design documents for unforeseen site conditions or customer requests.
o Provide assistance to the production/project management team for change‑order requests.
* Interactions
o Reports to PreFab Tendering team Leader.
o Internal: technical leader, SME, sales manager, opportunity leader, intra‑group suppliers, project managers, quality, factory.
o External: customers and outside group suppliers.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, electrical engineering preferred.
* +Five years experience with infrastructure projects within engineering teams in multinational companies and global teams.
* +3 years technical experience in data center solutions including secure power systems, cooling systems, electrical and mechanical installations, logistics, civil works.
* Previous customer facing roles preferred.
* Experience in electrical panel design (Prisma, Okken, Blockset).
* 5 years of experience in power systems design.
* Experience with simulation tools such as SKM, ETAP, or Easypower valuable.
* Experience with generators, UPSs, Schneider Electric & APC products background desired.
* Grounding designs as per IEC, IEEE, and TIA 607‑B standards.
* Results oriented with critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
* Influence and convincing skills.
* Decision‑making and escalation when required.
* Experience in developing technical documents and drawings, preparing material estimates for bids, preparing requests for quotation and material purchase requisitions, and technical evaluation of vendor offers.
* Excellent attitude toward providing system solutions to customer problems.
* Proven ability to work independently and provide sound technical advice and constructive support to project managers and customers directly.
* Ability to generate and foster client relationships while working in a fast‑paced and competitive business environment.
* Capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* English fluency (C1).
* Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project.
* Knowledge of Autodesk Revit or Autodesk Construction Cloud valuable.
