The ideal candidate will have a strong background in similar category hotels or resorts, with previous experience in Asia, Africa, and/or the Middle East. This role requires a high level of technical skill, creativity, and leadership to deliver exceptional pastry products aligned with the resorts culinary standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the pastry and bakery section of the resort. Design, develop, and update dessert, pastry, and bakery offerings for: À la carte restaurants Buffets Special events and banquets Ensure the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency across all pastry products. Supervise, train, and motivate the pastry team. Control food cost, waste, and ordering processes. Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP regulations. Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team on menu planning and special events. Adapt pastry offerings to an international clientele, considering cultural preferences and dietary requirements. Requirements Professional qualification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or related field. Minimum 35 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in similar category hotels or resorts, preferably in Asia, Africa, and/or the Middle East. Proven experience working in multicultural and international environments. Strong technical knowledge of classic and international pastry techniques. Leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team. High attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation. Flexibility and adaptability to work in remote locations. Professional level of English (mandatory). Desirable Previous experience in luxury or all-inclusive resorts. Knowledge of modern pastry trends, healthy desserts, and international concepts.
