Overview Kantox is looking for an Elixir Engineer to join our Kantox software engineering team in Barcelona. Our platform core is primarily based on Ruby on Rails but we also make good use of Elixir and Elixir/Phoenix as well. You will work with a self-motivated multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team that views software development as an extreme team sport.

Your mission within Kantox is to maintain and improve the code base, develop and test new features, solve issues as they appear, perform maintenance and upgrades, review peer code, and participate in technical discussions and documentation.

Participate in support shifts, solving requests in a cordial and timely manner.
Raise improvement suggestions, participate in technical discussions, and maintain technical documentation.
Who you are Senior level engineer with 4+ years of professional experience in Elixir.
Team player with strong opinions capable of building consensus and accepting direction when a decision is made.
Value automation in testing and develop code with test-driven automation in mind.
Able to break down complex features into bite-sized sprints for easy tracking.
Commitment to continual improvement and self-driven with minimal supervision.
Understand the balance between getting it done and long-term sustainability.
Passionate about technology and collaboration with other engineers.
University degree in Computer Science (preferably a Masters) or equivalent.
Expected Skills & Experience Permission to work within the EU is a plus.
Strong testing philosophy and ability to create useful, complete tests.
Fluent in English.
Technically fluent in both Ruby on Rails and Elixir is preferred.
