The Ice Cream business is operating in a highly attractive category, as we are part of the 1 trillion snacking and refreshment industry, growing consistently at high pace. We have strong brands equities: 5 of top 10 selling brands including Wall’s, Magnum, Ben &Jerry;’s. We are investing to unlock the full growth potential of Ice Cream as a standalone entity, once we separate from Unilever, which is planned to happen by November 2025.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The **European Marketing Legal Counsel**will have a rich and engaging role, independently business partnering the Marketing team (including, but not limited to CMI, R&D;) and will be responsible for:
- Support the European General Counsels as Legal Business Partner to IC European Marketing Team;
- Provide legal advice and support to the marketing and advertising teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide legal advice and commercial risk analysis to the European Marketing, R&D;, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory teams on all aspects of product claims, communication, brand promotion and marketing materials (including competitive challenges) in line with all relevant local legal and regulatory laws and guidelines governing the products including asset development and product launches. Co-ordinate with relevant legal and business partners to pro-actively address and defend out-going and in-coming challenges in respect of product/advertising claims and content usage.
- Advice key stakeholders on significant legislative changes (including the European Green Deal)
- Advising on new product development projects, including the legality of and support for claims, product positioning, input into preparation of communication materials.
- Advise on issues related to digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce.
- Ensure the company’s products comply with local, regional, and international laws and regulations.
- Negotiating and drafting agreements, including Ad Production agreements, Agencies agreements, Licenses & Partnerships.
- Provide regular legal training on key topics (for example sustainability legislation, changes to consumer and advertising laws and regulations) to business and legal
