Out of necessity, our engine is built for extreme scale and powers over 1 billion queries every day across 150 languages and roughly 100 countries. It is used by some of the biggest ecommerce companies in the world like Sephora, Under Armour, and Petco.

Constructor is a U.S. based company that has been in the market since 2019. It was founded by Eli Finkelshteyn and Dan McCormick who still lead the company today.
The Team
The Query Team sits at the forefront of shaping the search and autosuggest experience for our customers. We develop & optimize advanced query-processing techniques like autocompletion, spelling correction, and natural language processing, which aim to capture user intent and drive conversions. Our systems handle immense traffic, meaning your work will directly impact millions of users. As a mid-level engineer of this team, you will help shape, improve, and maintain our systems' infrastructure, and also implement features to further improve query processing, and better serve our customers' requirements.
Requirements
You'll thrive in this role if you:
have experience building and scaling high-traffic, high-availability backend systemshave a solid grasp of algorithms/data-structures and their trade-offs, particularly in the context of information retrievalhave designed and implemented infrastructure for backend systems (deployment automation, resource provisioning, system observability, etc.)enjoy picking up new tools and technologies and working across a variety of stackscollaborate effectively with others and contribute to a positive, solution-oriented team culture
