Overview WHAT YOU'LL DOAs our Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for executing the full payroll process for a specific scope in Spain and Portugal, while based in our Southern Europe hub in Barcelona.
You will manage and run the payroll for employees ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant execution in line with local legislation in both countries.
Your day-to-day tasks will include handling new hires, salary updates, terminations, tax and social security deductions, and payroll reporting.
You will maintain accurate employee data across systems, ensuring efficient integration between our internal tools and programs, working closely with the accounting team on payments and reconciliations.
For the Portuguese payroll, you will manage with our external payroll provider, manage incidents and providing ongoing support to ensure a smooth and compliant payroll process.
You will also manage personnel administration tasks such as contracts, travel expenses, benefits, and onboarding support.
Additionally, you will actively participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing the efficiency and quality of the payroll process.Who you'll work with You'll join our Payroll Team based in Barcelona and work closely with colleagues in Accounting, Legal, Controlling and HR, as well as store teams in Portugal and Spain.Who you are We're looking for a payroll expert with:4+ years experience in HR generalist roles or Payroll covering Portuguese and Spanish marketKnowledge of payslip, labor, tax, and social security regulationsHigh attention to detail and discretion when working with sensitive dataStrong communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindsetFluency in Portuguese, Spanish and EnglishMotivation and eagerness to take on new payroll projects and contribute to continuous process improvementPrevious experience with Staffplanner, Primavera, and GPCN is a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple stakeholders and parallel processesWho we are H&M; Group is a global company of strong fashion brands and ventures.
