About the roleAs an Operations Specialist at Kyoto, you will play a critical role in supporting and developing Kyoto’s operational site organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting, process stabilisation and optimisation, preventive maintenance, and training of operators and subcontractors across multiple Heatcube sites. Additionally, you will contribute to monitoring and surveillance of operating performance, identifying deviations and supporting real-time corrective actions. This role requires a hands-on, problem-solving approach to ensure minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.This is based at our Office in Seville, Spain.ResponsibilitiesPromote a zero-injury culture, ensuring adherence to Kyoto’s safety regulations, service manuals, and operational guidelines.Communicate with customers regarding troubleshooting, completed and upcoming service and repairs.Diagnose and resolve technical issues across mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems, including first-line troubleshooting and escalation when needed.Monitor and optimise Heatcube operations remotely and on-site using SCADA systems to identify issues and enhance system performance.Drive performance optimisation through process stabilisation, fine-tuning, and efficiency improvements.Provide on-site support and training to operators and technicians, sharing expertise to improve day-to-day operationsWork according to Kyoto's service manuals and guidelines, ensuring all safety regulations are followed and that the site maintains a zero-injury goal.Support the commissioning of new Heatcube sites to ensure a smooth transition to full operation.Required skills & experienceMechanical or electrical background, and several years of working with mechanical and electrical systems. Machinist preferably from the Ships and Thermal Systems.Boiler Operator certificate.Experience in mechanical, electrical, and pressurised systems, including heat exchangers, pumps, and control systems.Experience with SCADA control systems, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting for operational efficiency and real-time data exchange.Troubleshooting skills in fluid dynamics, high-pressure steam systems, and rotating equipment.Hands-on experience in first-line maintenance, fault diagnosis, and system optimisation in industrial environments.Proven ability to work autonomously, handling technical challenges in remote or high-pressure settings.Experience in HSE compliance, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.Experienced in training and mentoring technical and operational staff.Ability to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and emergency response planning in industrial environments.Who are you?
