Overview
This role focuses on designing and developing high‐complexity supply‐chain solutions for the Transport portfolio across Europe & MEA. The position is based in Madrid but is also open in Bonn or Warsaw.
Responsibilities
Lead solution‐design workstreams to secure new business, renew contracts and drive innovation in transport solutions.
Provide expert analytical insights for implementation and re‐engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Develop optimal costing and commercial strategies for new and existing opportunities, maximizing profitability.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless project implementation.
Work with Business Development and sector teams to identify and propose tailored solution‐design needs.
Act as subject‐matter expert, delivering training and knowledge sharing on relevant projects.
Create commercial proposals and presentations for internal and customer audiences.
Apply innovative practices in facilities, fleet management, technology, or safety to enhance solution offerings.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across BD, Operations, and Finance to improve the design process.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in logistics, transport/network solution optimization, or program/project management.
Experience modelling/simulation and route optimisation with tools like SupplyChainGuruX, Paragon, Ortec, Loghub, etc.
Familiar with DHL transport sectors, customers, products and sustainability goals.
In‐depth knowledge of end‐to‐end supply‐chain integration.
Strong analytical mindset; advanced Excel skills and experience with at least one modelling tool.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply‐chain management, logistics, business administration, economics or a related field.
Nice to Have
Transport operations experience (dispatch, planning, Control Tower operations, carrier management).
Knowledge of sustainable transport solutions (EVs, alternative fuels, multimodal solutions, carbon reporting).
Automotive sector knowledge.
Fluency in Spanish and/or other European languages.
