The opportunity
Hitachi Energy, for our Transformers Business Unit, is seeking a HUB ITM / Continuous Improvement Specialist based in one of our factories in Zaragoza or Cordoba. This role is responsible for leading and driving sustainable and transformational change across multiple HUB Europe and Product Lines, focusing on process improvements, ITM (Integrated Transformer Management) system maturity, and KPI improvements. The successful candidate will be a business partner to the Hub Leadership team and Factory Managers.
How You’ll Make An Impact
* Partner with the cross-functional leadership team to develop and implement the Strategy Deployment process.
* Facilitate the development of breakthrough objectives, action plans, KPIs, and lead Kaizen planning to support organizational needs.
* Act as a change agent and champion a continuous improvement culture using ITM Lean methods, processes, and tools such as 5S, Daily Management, LSW, VSM, TPM, Kaizen.
* Lead activities to implement the ITM system and improve maturity scores through deployment phases.
* Drive KPI optimization across factories and functional organizations.
* Develop financial acumen to focus on impactful improvements.
* Ensure sustainability of results and support root cause analysis and countermeasures.
* Build a coaching culture emphasizing employee engagement and accountability.
Your Background
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or business with at least 5 years of experience in Lean management, continuous improvement, manufacturing, or process improvement.
* Experience with implementing systems like Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Honeywell Operating System, or similar, with a record of delivering measurable results.
* Strong communication skills, solutions-oriented approach, and ability to foster teamwork and influence without authority.
* Proven ability to lead remote teams across different locations, proficient in English.
* Lean / Six Sigma certifications (e.g., Lean Master, Black Belt). Experience in training is a plus.
* Willingness to travel up to 50%.
