McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The Role
We are looking for a collaborative team player who is effective at providing departmental and site direction, fostering a culture of operational excellence and upholding Cameco’s values. You will be looked upon to lead the Site Services team through change and improvements that align with Cameco’s strategic goals.
In this role, you will:
* Lead the Site Services department and be accountable for batch plant operation and concrete delivery, road and airport runway maintenance, snow clearing, plane de-icing, landfill and surface waste management, surface material movement and stockpile management, bus and luggage runs
* Ensure Site Services activities are safely executed and adhere to internal policies and standards, as well as regulatory requirements
* Ensure work is planned, scheduled, and coordinated to deliver services as efficiently as possible while meeting site priorities
* Work closely with other department General Supervisors and site project teams to ensure integration of plans and work execution
* Manage and monitor Site Services spend and budgets
* Maintain workforce levels at the budget numbers and ensure crew training and development is prioritized and remains complainant
* Ensure operational care rounds and maintenance requirements for equipment is occurring as scheduled
* In consultation with your department head, assist with the development of medium-term department strategies to support operational excellence in Cameco’s four pillars of success (A safe, healthy, and rewarding workplace, A clean environment, Supportive communities, and Outstanding financial performance)
Required:
* A minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in an industrial setting and managing heavy equipment
* Effective leadership skills
* Organized leader with strategic vision
* Experience supervising front-line workers
* Ability to obtain a Saskatchewan Labour supervisor certificate
* Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
* Journeyperson trade certification or engineering technology diploma
* Experience in concrete batch plant operation
* SAP or maintenance management system experience
* Work experience at a uranium industrial site
