Job Purpose
Aliaxis is transforming its logistics in EMEA into a Logistics 4.0 environment, modernizing warehousing (including 3PL set-ups) and digitizing Transportation Management Systems. A “Control Tower” will be established to monitor performance, coordinate corrective actions, resolve escalations, ensure trade compliance, and handle transportation planning across EMEA. This phased transformation involves creating standards, daily interfaces, KPIs, centralized reporting, data management, and deploying a Transportation Planning HUB supported by predictive solutions. The Logistics Project Manager will lead these transformation and optimization projects, closely linking procurement to specify transportation requirements and optimize service levels with customers.
* Preferably a University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field.
* 3-8 years of experience in Central Transportation Control Tower operations and Supply Chain management.
* Strong analytical skills (MS Excel).
* Lean or Operations Management certification.
* Technical expertise in Project Management, Planning, and Transportation Management.
* Fluent in Spanish, German, and English.
* Highly reliable, energetic, and motivated.
* Structured, analytical working method.
* Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment.
* Risk management skills in decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Management
* Support the rollout of Transportation Management System (“TMS”) in EMEA.
* Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams for timely transportation.
* Utilize tracking systems to monitor goods movement and address issues.
* Analyze transportation data for trends and improvement opportunities.
Transportation Planning
* Develop and implement transportation plans to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
* Follow transportation allocation as per procurement agreements and backup processes.
* Manage unplanned transport events daily.
* Support logistics ad hoc tasks.
* Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
* Control transportation costs and verify invoices.
Reporting
* Prepare and present transportation performance reports.
* Monitor KPIs and logistics issues.
* Follow up on issues and claims, proposing operational improvements.
* Draft SLAs and review with carriers for continuous improvement.
Compliance
* Ensure transportation activities comply with regulations and policies.
* Control costs and verify invoices.
