Overview Part-time Technical Officer in the Department of Ophthalmology, School of Clinical Medicine (HKU). Ref.:. One-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Location: University of Hong Kong. Work type: Fractional / Part-time.
Responsibilities The appointee will provide support for laboratories, such as daily operations, emergency support, disestablishment of laboratories, establishment and development of a new research laboratory, procurement, event/project management, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 2 years’ solid work experience, preferably in tertiary education institutions or other public organizations.
Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English (including Putonghua).
Strong sense of responsibility with good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-motivated, attentive to details, capable of handling multiple tasks, and able to work independently and in a team.
Experience in procurement, basic research laboratory operations, new research laboratory establishment and development, and providing technical support regarding installation and maintenance for equipment would be an advantage.
