WORK & STUDY OPPORTUNITY IN BARCELONA - DATAART x HARBOUR.SPACE INSTITUTE
DataArt has partnered with Harbour.Space Institute to offer a fully-funded Master's degree scholarship in Computer and Data Science, along with hands‑on work experience as a .NET Developer at DataArt, a general software engineering firm building breakthrough data, analytics, and AI platforms for some of the world's most demanding organisations across finance, healthcare, travel, and media.
We're looking for a mid‑level .NET Developer to join DataArt in Barcelona through Harbour.Space's Work & Study Programme, a structured track for software engineers who want to work in Spain while completing a fully-funded Master's in Computer and Data Science.
What you'll be doing:
You'll design and build scalable applications using C#, ASP.NET, and MVC/Core, work closely with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and ship features, write clean maintainable code, and participate in code reviews. You'll be working on production systems for global clients; the work is technical, demanding, and meaningful from day one.
Who this is for:
You have 2+ years of hands‑on .NET development experience, you write solid C# and know your way around SQL Server, and you're ready to work at a higher level inside a globally respected engineering team. You want to relocate to Barcelona, grow technically in a serious environment, and finish a Master's degree without stepping away from your career.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional .NET development experience: C#, ASP.NET, MVC/Core
- Strong SQL Server skills, you've worked with production databases, not just tutorials
- Experience working in agile teams
- Professional fluency in Portuguese, written and spoken
- Fluent English, working and studying language is English
- Open to relocating to Barcelona as this is an on‑site role
Nice to have:
- Experience with .NET 8+, Azure, or microservices
- Exposure to modern front‑end frameworks
What you get:
- .NET Developer role inside a globally recognised engineering firm
- Full Master's in Computer or Data Science covered by scholarship
- Monthly stipend while you work and study
- Cohort of international mid‑level professionals going through the same track
Not a fit if:
You're looking for remote work, you're primarily motivated by the visa rather than the career step, or you're not professionally fluent in Portuguese.
