Amazon is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician to join our Delivery Station in Heathwood, Brisbane.
This role involves leading a technical team in reactive and proactive maintenance activities, repairing and maintaining machinery to ensure smooth operations at Amazon.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and leading Maintenance Technicians, motivating and guiding them to achieve their goals.
Implementing and maintaining Preventive Maintenance programs and building compliance programs, including facility and contractor management.
Promoting safety within the team and across the site.
Managing maintenance-related purchase orders and controlling inventory levels for critical spare parts.
Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting FC systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, and other operational equipment.
Developing relationships across organizational levels and participating in site leadership meetings.
A typical day involves:
Leading the team to ensure equipment availability and proper functioning, monitoring processes for compliance, carrying out preventative maintenance, and suggesting improvements for system efficiency.
About the team:
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment across Amazon’s network, working on innovative technology and ensuring site safety and efficiency.
Basic qualifications:
Trade qualifications such as Certificate III in Electrotechnology or Mechanical Engineering, with a valid Electrical Mechanic/Fitter license, or equivalent recognized qualifications in Australia.
Experience in industrial maintenance, FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics.
Leadership experience supervising multi-trade teams in fast-paced environments.
Experience mentoring technicians and working with automation or material handling equipment.
Proficiency with CMMS for maintenance planning and record-keeping.
Contractor management experience.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with automated conveyor systems, electrical and electronic principles, PLC programming, and industrial controls.
Knowledge of statutory compliance and facility management.
Experience managing multiple contractors.
