Our client is a leading manufacturer of EV charging solutions, currently expanding into the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) market. With a strong foundation in clean energy infrastructure, they are leveraging their expertise to deliver innovative, scalable storage solutions to distributors and Commercial & Industrial (C&I;) clients across global markets.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead growth in the BESS sector. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a proven track record in energy storage, renewable energy leasing, or clean tech solutions. You will be responsible for developing strategic relationships, driving revenue,
and positioning our client as a key player in the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for BESS products targeting distributors and C&I; clients.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the energy storage and renewable leasing sectors.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align customer needs with technical solutions.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.
- Represent our client at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for senior leadership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales within the BESS, renewable energy, or energy leasing sectors.
- Strong understanding of energy storage technologies, grid applications, and financing models.
- Demonstrated success in selling to distributors, EPCs, and C&I; clients.
- Excellent negotiation, communication,
and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
Preferred Experience
- Experience with renewable energy leasing models or energy-as-a-service (EaaS) .
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and incentive programs for energy storage.
- Existing network within the energy storage or clean tech ecosystem.
