The Senior Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization's day-to-day financial operations, managing the accounting function, and maintaining accountability for the company's books and records. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data while supporting the Head of Finance in effective organizational financial management.
1. Accounting Operations :
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Develop and supervise the internalization of accounting activities.
2. Financial Management :
Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
3. Strategic Financial Planning :
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with local regulations and group policies.
4. Compliance & Risk Management :
Ensure that financial operations comply with statutory regulations and internal policies, maintaining tax compliance across all streams.
5. Treasury :
Oversee cash flow, debt, collections, and payments processing to maintain financial stability.
6. Audit & Internal Controls :
Act as the primary contact for external auditors, manage the audit process, and develop/document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
7. Team Leadership :
Provide leadership and mentorship to finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Qualifications include higher education, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting. Skills in management accounting, controlling, and Excel are required.
