About You and This Role
As a Product Owner at Liferay, you represent the voice of our product. You are responsible for maximizing the value of the development team's work. You will be involved in all stages of product development, from discovery to delivery, working closely with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to ship impactful products. Key Objectives
* Communicate the product vision and feature alignment to the team.
* Maximize product value through backlog management and prioritization.
* Define iterations, stories, and accept increments.
* Provide technical guidance to ensure architecture, scalability, and performance standards.
* Collaborate with stakeholders on priorities and roadmaps.
* Translate technical requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Plan sprints and accept final sprint plans.
* Track and analyze product metrics for improvements.
* Mentor team members and contribute to organizational growth.
Required Qualifications
* 4+ years of experience in software development or as a Product Owner.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Humble, collaborative, flexible, and adaptable.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience with Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) framework is a plus.
* Experience creating accessible, WCAG 2.1 AA compliant products and advocating for inclusive design is a plus.
* Willingness to travel a few times a year.
