Project description:
In the department of 'Customer Experience' we are responsible to keep the quality of our cellular mobile network throughout Germany at the highest level and to always be one step ahead of the competition. To reach this target we focus on mobile service monitoring with the active E2E service quality monitoring system 'WSQM (Wireless Service Quality Monitoring)' to increase the quality for our customers.
Activity description and concrete tasks:
• Development, deployment and operation of the WSQM E2E active service monitoring system
• Ensuring system availability, stability, and performance
• Error analysis and resolution
• Realize interfaces and data connection
• Automated provision e.g. with Ansible
• Implementation of updates, patches, and system upgrades in coordination with the system manufacturer
• Creation and maintenance of operational documentation, concepts, and process descriptions
• Coordination of internal service providers and technical partners for system integration and support
Qualifications
Skill requirements:
• Extensive experience in the operation and administration of operational support systems (OSS), e.g., for monitoring, fault, configuration, or performance management
• Strong expertise in:
* Network technologies (IP, IPSec, SNMP, HTTP, SubNeting, Routing, v-LAN, etc.)
* Operating systems (Linux, Bash- and Perl-Scripting)
* Databases (SQL)
* Interfaces (REST, XML, JSON)
* Ansible (Scripting and Debugging)
* Nagios and CheckMK (Custom Monitoring Scripts, OAM)
• Good Cellular Network Skills
• Structured and independent work style as well as a high sense of responsibility
• Good team player
• Good communication skills
