Overview
The Data Analyst partners closely with Market Unit sales teams to translate business needs into actionable insights. This role is responsible for delivering reliable “run-the-business” reporting, supporting ad hoc analysis, and enabling data-driven decision-making that improves sales performance. The analyst ensures consistent use of enterprise data models and provides clear interpretation of trends, risks, and opportunities.
This position plays a critical role in connecting sales strategy, operational execution, and analytics by transforming complex datasets into practical insights for sellers and leadership.
Responsibilities
Sales Partnership & Insights
- Serve as a trusted data partner to a Market Unit sales organization by delivering intuitive dashboards and reports used by sellers and sales leaders on a daily, weekly, and quarterly basis.
- Translate business questions into analytical frameworks that identify performance drivers, pipeline trends, and areas of opportunity.
- Provide clear interpretation of data to help sales leadership make informed decisions aligned to revenue targets.
- Assist Sales Operations with territory, quota, and performance-related analysis
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Maintain and enhance dashboards and KPI tracking using modern analytics platforms (Power BI and Microsoft Fabric within the Microsoft ecosystem).
- Ensure reporting consistency with enterprise standards across tools such Salesforce, Clari, and enterprise semantic models.
- Summarize findings into clear, concise presentations or written insights for business stakeholders.
- Support ad hoc analysis requests tied to forecasting, pipeline movement, and sales performance.
Data Quality & Governance
- Ensure metric accuracy and alignment with globally defined definitions and data models.
- Monitor data refresh cycles and proactively resolve reporting discrepancies.
- Perform data validation and integrity checks across core sales datasets.
- Create internal documentation outlining report logic, processes, and analytical outputs.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field supporting business performance.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver actionable insights that influence decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience building dashboards using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric (SQL Server and DAX experience a plus)
- Experience working with CRM and revenue data (Salesforce experience preferred).
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Strong business and technical acumen.
- Up to 5% travel required.
