Job Purpose
External business development expert responsible for developing a defined specialist line of business with an allocated set of partners.
Key account management within specialist segments.
Responsibilities
* Own and develop mid-size accounts of moderate complexity under clear managerial guidance.
* Win new business and maximize account potential for respective lines of business.
* Increase customer loyalty and profitability through expert knowledge of vendor solutions and industry offerings.
* Grow Tech Data's market share with vendors.
* Develop tailored customer value propositions based on understanding of customer requirements.
* Translate vendor objectives into actionable business plans.
* Engage in large deals and pipeline management within technology domains.
* Enhance vendor presence internally and externally.
* Negotiate deals and rebates.
* Contribute to purchasing, sales, and pricing policies.
* Provide strategic input into vendor market propositions.
* Support marketing plan development and execution.
* Collaborate closely with FSEs.
* Maintain accurate weekly forecasting and pipeline development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* 8+ years in IT industry with channel or vendor experience in business development, sales, or product marketing.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* Ability to deliver tailored business content to diverse audiences.
* Experience working with senior levels to understand customer requirements.
* High energy, positive attitude, and ability to deliver above expectations.
* Excellent emotional intelligence and influencing skills at senior levels.
* Self-motivated with autonomous execution skills.
* Subject Matter Expert in Tech Data's business practices or technology areas.
* Strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
* Ability to drive change and absorb new ideas.
* Proven multi-level relationship building skills in a matrix environment.
* Experience in services and solution selling, account development, and strategic planning.
* Experience working within a multinational matrix structure.
* Self-management in external environments.
* On-premises and Cloud experience, including Microsoft Azure knowledge/certifications.
* Business planning and operational cadence experience.
* Experience with ADKAR Change Management and working in global/regional matrix organizations.
