Collaboration and team work are at the core of who we are, and what we do, and we're excited to build our knowledgeable and skilled team.ROLE SUMMARYThis is a 12-month fixed term contract role, based out of the Crewe depot, to support the storage and testing commissioning requirements.CAF requires Team Leaders of the highest calibre to join the CAF Rail Team to work on a fleet of brand new state-of-the-art trains.This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business using the latest, cutting edge technology, and build your career with a company with strong principles and over 100 years Industry leading experience.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervision of a small team of CAF Rail UK Technicians- Fault finding and root cause analysis of all on-train systems- Use of schematics, test & measurement equipment, and diagnostic software- Planning and organising of warranty repairs- Liaising with customer at all times to ensure that train availability and reliability targets are achieved- Excellent communication skills- Ability to prioritize and classify work in terms of safety and the impact on the train’s performance are essential- Large diesel engines and transmissions- High voltage systems- Traction, brakes, passenger doors, PIS/PA, CCTV, HVAC, TCMS- High pressure pneumatics- Wiring, fault finding and other associated electrical/mechanical tasks.- Monitoring competency and conducting competency assessment of technicians..REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILL- Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/ Mechanical EngineeringREQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:- Substantial post qualifying experience- Fault finding and diagnostic experience- Use of schematics, test & measurement equipment, and diagnostic software- Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematic diagrams- Applicants from rail industry, an automotive or aerospace background will be considered- Valid Driver’s Licence- Available for shift work (Days & Nights including weekends)CAF RAIL UK EMPLOYEE BENEFITS:At CAF Rail UK, we are committed to the health and wellbeing of all our employees.
