The Category Buyer is a regional position supporting EMEA RESRG Automotive. This individual will be a champion in a strategic sourcing capability that creates a competitive advantage in the supply of goods and services for our finished goods. The candidate is responsible for delivering value to Business, Program Management and Operational readiness through effective procurement execution.
The Category Buyer works with Category Managers & Project Purchasing Managers inside of purchasing and Program Managers, Commercial Leaders and the Program CFT as an internal customer. Understanding the project’s material requirements and timing in order to procure goods that meet and exceed the requirements of the program. As part of the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team, this individual will be responsible for prioritizing projects/activities and utilizing critical and economic thinking to deliver on the business’ priorities.

Key Responsibilities
· Understands the program strategies, timing and requirements. Works closely with Project Purchasing Manager & Category Manager and Cross Functional team on requirements, deliverables, and transactions.
· Identify and escalation risks/business disruptions.
· Builds relationships with project teams to identify and implement process improvements and VAVE opportunities.
· Collaborates with Category Managers to develop and execute strategies within OEM Programs.
· Ensures the contractual documents accurately reflects the terms and conditions of purchase, including payment terms, freight terms, incoterms, and other key commercial terms.
What we need from you
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, mathematics, business analytics, engineering, finance or related business field.
· Previous experience in supply chain, procurement, data analytics or engineering.
· Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Experience using Microsoft Excel to create, modify, and manage spreadsheets utilizing formulas, v-lookups and pivot tables. xhfqzwm
· Fluency in spoken and written English and German.
· Experience with ERP systems and other platforms such as SAP, CMS, Coupa, etc.
