PresidentBe part of the most amazing team!We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of our growing organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. The Financial Controller will play a key role in driving financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and supporting senior leadership with critical financial insights. They will be working closely with our U.S. partner — a multicultural home care agency dedicated to providing compassionate and high-quality care to their valued clients.Our ideal candidate is someone who is already employed and looking for a second part-time job. 00 PM to accommodate your existing commitments.Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements- Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations- Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes- Lead the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies- Work with department heads to optimize financial performance- Monitor cash flow and manage relationships with banks and financial partners- Review contracts and vendor agreements for financial impact- Supervise and mentor accounting or finance staff (if applicable)- Collaborate with HR and Operations on payroll and benefits administration- Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and legal consultants- Manage and organize receipts and expense reports from different departments and team members- Ensure all expenses are properly approved, have receipts and are recorded- Enter and maintain expense data in QuickBooks and ensure accuracy in financial records- Provide guidance on best practices for expense tracking and financial management- Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with company policies- Prepare monthly expense reports and summaries for management review- Assist in streamlining financial processes and improving efficiency in record-keeping- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy- Identify and mitigate financial risks- Support leadership in strategic planning and financial modelingQualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a controller or similar leadership role- Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or WaveApps- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills- Experience in healthcare, home care, or Medicaid billing is a plus- Experience within the US marketWork Schedule:
