The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging business education to secondary students, helping them develop essential skills in economics, finance, entrepreneurship, and commercial awareness. You will teach Business Studies across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations. Working within a supportive and collaborative department, you will create dynamic learning experiences that bring business concepts to life and inspire students to pursue careers in the business world.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding Business Studies lessons that engage, challenge, and inspire students
* Teach across KS3, KS4 (GCSE), and potentially KS5 (A Level) depending on experience
* Plan and implement creative, innovative teaching approaches that make business education relevant and exciting
* Use real‑world examples and case studies to enhance understanding of business concepts
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to drive improvement
* Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE and A Level examinations
* Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
* Participate in the co‑curricular programme and wider school life
* Maintain high standards in line with school policies and expectations
* Commit to continuous professional development and reflective practice
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support student achievement
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Business Management, Economics, or related field
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Minimum 2–3 years of secondary school teaching experience
* Proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes at GCSE level
* Experience teaching the English National Curriculum
* A Level Business Studies teaching experience is highly desirable
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
* Right to work in Spain or EU passport (school provides full work permit support for UK passport holders)

* Strong knowledge of Business Studies curriculum across KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5
* Up‑to‑date understanding of current business practices, trends, and real‑world applications
* Ability to make business concepts accessible and engaging for students of all abilities
* Experience preparing students for GCSE and A Level Business Studies examinations
* Knowledge of various exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, etc.)

Teaching Excellence

* Proven ability to deliver outstanding, engaging lessons that inspire curiosity about business
* Creative and innovative approach to teaching, using varied pedagogical strategies
* Strong classroom management skills with ability to create positive learning environments

* Excellent understanding of assessment for learning strategies
* Ability to use data effectively to track student progress and improve outcomesSkills in providing constructive feedback that drives student improvement
* Experience with exam preparation and revision strategies

* Confident using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
* Ability to integrate digital tools, business software, and online resources into lessons
* Experience creating engaging multimedia presentations and learning materials
