What will be your challenge?
This role requires managing the end-to-end tendering process, ensuring all bids and proposals comply with client requirements, internal standards, and deadlines. It involves analysing complex tender documents, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and preparing accurate, competitive, and fully compliant offers. Delivering high-quality tenders that secure business opportunities while aligning with the company's strategic objectives is a key responsibility.
You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Internally, the Tender Specialist works with Key Account Managers (KAMs), Service Business Units, Onshore Business Units, MED Heads and Directors, Legal & Compliance, Resource Planners, Engineering, and other departments across the FW Group. Externally, the role maintains regular interaction with customers to ensure that tender submissions meet their requirements and expectations.
Which are the roles of the position?
1. Management of Complex Onshore Tenders from Clients
Receive, register, and review client requests for tenders.
Analyse tender documentation and contractual requirements to ensure compliance.
Delegate tasks within the team and organise meetings to align on tender approach.
Gather and consolidate inputs from all relevant departments to prepare bids.
2. Preparation of Offers in Line with Client Requirements
Conduct cost analysis and develop price proposals and conceptual offers.
Ensure proposals meet client requirements and align with margin expectations.
Finalise and submit offers for approval, and address client queries in collaboration with the Head of Sales.
3. Administrative Support
Maintain project and customer records in the CRM system and archive relevant documentation.
Generate reports on sales activities and tender progress.
Support operational handovers, client inquiries, and preparation of presentations for sales meetings.
Assist in contract documentation and other sales-related tasks as needed.
4. Support for Sales Activities
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to ensure competitive proposals.
Conduct competitor and supplier analyses and propose improvements to tendering processes.
What skills and qualifications are we looking for in you?
Degree in in business, Engineering, or related field.
A minimum of 3years of experience in tendering, sales support, or a related position (preferably in renewable energy)
In addition to fluent English, business-level proficiency in other languages relevant to FairWind's key markets, such as Portuguese or French.
Strong understanding of tendering processes and proposal preparation.
Experience in reviewing and analyzing tender documents, contracts, and client requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details clearlyProactive approach to identifying issues and suggesting solutions during the tender process
Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards specific to the industryExperience with bid management software or other tendering platforms
Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and operate in an international, multicultural environment.
