Head of Center of Excellence, Order to Cash
Summary of the role
As the Head of Center of Excellence, Order to Cash, you’ll play a pivotal role pivotal role in enhancing Amadeus' Revenue Management and Collection (R&C) department within the Corporate Finance organization. This department oversees Amadeus' business billing and collection processes.
You’ll be responsible for the overall vision, methodology and standardized approach to Order-to-Cash (OTC) end-to-end process, together with the R&C area leaders and stakeholders in order to build a fully connected, upskilled, and engaged way of working. You’ll also drive change management, promoting best-practice adoption across teams and fostering innovation.
The goal of the Center of Excellence team is to optimize processes from contract creation to collection and customer claims, leverage corporate tools to automate recurring tasks, and identify solutions to enhance ROI.
This role thrives on data, advocating for a data-driven organization with a strong data culture and high-quality data.
In this role, you’ll
1. Drive a culture of progress using Design Thinking and Lean Six Sigma techniques to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance quality
2. Shape the vision and develop a standardized approach for the Order to Cash end-to-end process, ensuring a connected, upskilled, and engaged way of working
3. Champion automation and identify opportunities for robotics and facilitate their implementation, alongside other automation initiatives
4. Define and drive technical vision, strategy, and architecture for projects, translating stakeholder requirements into technical specifications
5. Lead projects and manage timelines, resources, and budgets for successful completion, conducting code reviews and ensuring solution quality
6. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed decisions
7. Provide technical guidance and support to team members, helping them overcome complex challenges
8. Identify and proactively address project risks and issues, ensuring knowledge sharing across teams
9. Implement data validation and quality checks to maintain high-quality data
10. Lead and mentor a team of developers, creating a collaborative and constructive environment
About the ideal candidate
11. Undergraduate in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics or related field; MBA or Master’s in Finance/ Management is an asset
12. At least 8-10 years of experience in continuous improvement in a managerial/expert role is a must; previous experience in other finance areas or consultancy is a plus
13. At least 3 years of experience in working with databases, ideally more than one (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, any cloud databases)
14. Previous people management experience preferred
15. Experience in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#)
16. Proficient in MS Office, (Access, Power Query, Power BI)
17. Certified in Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
18. Proficient in English (both verbal and written); another language is a plus
19. Ability to clearly communicate information to a wide range of audiences
20. Ability to influence and manage change across various teams and organizational levels
21. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
