In this role you will support the energy-focused M&A and advisory activity within Santander CIB from Madrid. You will build and review complex financial models and prepare client-facing materials to drive deal momentum. You will coordinate due diligence and interact with internal and external stakeholders across live transactions, contributing to insights on market trends and energy transition opportunities. This is a chance to shape strategic recommendations in a growth-focused, risk-aware environment and work with a cross-functional deal team to create value for clients.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Build and review detailed financial models (operating models, DCF, accretion/dilution, valuation, sensitivities)
• Perform valuation work using DCF, comps, precedent transactions and sector-specific approaches
• Prepare client materials (pitch books, strategic reviews, presentations, information memoranda, board materials, internal approvals)
• Support live transaction execution across M&A and IPO processes, including due diligence coordination and workstream management
• Conduct sector, company, investor and transaction analysis across the EMEA energy and energy transition space
• Monitor market developments, valuation trends, regulatory themes and investor activity across key sub-sectors
• Support senior bankers on client dialogue, strategic analysis and origination ideas
Responsabilidades
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A, ECM/IPO advisory or similar
• Strong execution experience on live transactions and ability to manage multiple workstreams xpzdshu
• Interest in energy, power, utilities, infrastructure and/or energy transition sectors in EMEA (Preferred)
• Undergraduate degree with strong academic record
• Fluency in English; additional European languages (Preferred)
